Westmoreland man charged with murder, wounding four others
A 20 year old Westmoreland resident has been charged with the murder of a man and the injuring of four others on Great Georges Street in Savanna-la-mar five months ago.
Daine Dellop, otherwise called ‘Cuz’, of Three Miles River in Westmoreland, was charged on Monday.
Mr. Dellop has been charged with murder, four counts of wounding with intent as well as illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
He was apprehended on Saturday during an operation on Seaton Crescent, Westmoreland.
Sometime after 5 p.m. on April 1, Anthony Tomlinson, 56, a taxi operator of Burnt Savannah, Westmoreland was among persons on Great Georges Street when a man opened gunfire at the crowd.
Five persons, including a six year old boy, were shot.
Mr. Tomlinson was pronounced dead at hospital.
