Dear Met,
Edward Seaga’s claim to fame was inspired many decades ago when he penned a letter to the Gleaner about the Two Jamaicas. He was more focused on the Socio-economic disparity between the have and the have nots of Jamaica. Now come Jamaica 60th we need to be focused on the battle for the very soul and social fabric of Jamaica by taking the following example into account.
In the heart of Kingston and in many places across Jamaica, the music influences the masses. This young Christian was out singing songs of praise and Ministering about God.Mere meters away, just seconds away,he was being drowned out by a CD Vendor blaring Vybz Kartel song lyrics ” Mi buss mi gun dem whenever mi like ,any blo%$^^odcl#%%rt day and night cuz a nuh no boy own ,a my own”
Few persons were clapping along and nodding to the brave young Christian, but of course, the higglers, the schoolchildren and especially the Bleachers were bussing blanks, dancing and singing word for word that Gun anthem of Vybz Kartel! We have been hearing that music can be the healing of our nation, but less than 2yrs to go,which music we gonna choose Met?
Jesus is a scam…
