“The earth is the lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who live in it” (psalm 24)
God is the creator of heaven and earth, the Beginning and the end, so we are the care takers of God’s world. We see families scrambling, fighting and killing each other because of a piece of land claiming ownership. We don’t own anything, everything belongs to God. Even the ability to earn money, buy a car, own property comes from God. The things we possess really belong to him. He’s just gracious enough to allow us use of them.

King David understood this truth. When the people of Israel gave their possession to build the temple, he praised God saying “But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you and we have given you only what comes from your hand” 1 chron. 29:14.

Genesis 2:15 says that God put Adam in the garden to work in and take care of it. The idea is not one of toiling in the hot sun like a slave but rather tending the garden as a responsible caretaker. When God finished creating the world and everything in it, he turned to Adam and in effect said, “Here’s my creation, you are in charge of guarding it.

What a compliment! God entrusted his creation to our care. He never would have done that if he did not have a high regard for those he had created in his own image. What is that talent, skill, gift that God entrusted in your hand?. Do utilize it judiciously for him for He owes everything and you are only a caretaker of it.

Prayer:

1 Oh Lord, anywhere they kept my wealth and money in any pot representing my glory, I manifest there by the glory of God and the Spirit of my father, I break the pot in Jesus name.

2 Oh earth, Oh earth, vomit everything that the enemies have buried against me, vomit it by fire in Jesus name.

3 I command the moon, star, sun to release my destiny, stars, and I turn around every evil invocation that the enemies have projected to you to use and work against me to come to an end in the mighty name of Jesus
