Eight month old Alayshia Trail was born with a condition called liver cirrhosis, without a liver transplant she will die. After checking many children’s hospitals, the family of baby Trail got a positive response from a hospital in Argentina. The problem is that the hospital is charging $224,000.00 U.S for this life saving surgery and the family is expected to come up with this money by September 27. We will be setting up a gofundme account for her some time this week but for now you can make donations in the accounts mentioned above.
Yeah man.
Plz support if you can this worthy cause.
Most definitely, I have a baby girl same age..every little bit will help.
My heart goes out to baby Alayshia & her family. Hope she receives d help she so desperately needs. May d Lord heal her & grant her a clean bill of health
This is a sad story and my prayers are with this poor little girl. Cirrhosis of the liver is a condition caused by extreme alcohol abuse or hep C . This poor baby’s story appeared in the press in early June when the family was asking for $ 40-50,000 US, for an operation in India and she was reported to be suffering from a different condition . The fees have increased by $200,000 US in 6 weeks! . I pray that the infant is able to receive the treatment she desperately needs .
It was always a liver condition u too good. If u dont know anything about liver cirrhosis dont speak, people can be born with it u dont have to drink anything
Which hospital anywhere a go charge 50k for a liver transplant? Uno a some dangerous people
I’m a bit curious here. How does a 7-month old child from Jamaica get on a liver transplant waiting list in Argentina? I would think Argentina would give first preference to their own citizens over ANY patient from another country. Argentina, with a population of about 42 million people (14-times that of Jamaica), would have “many” (perhaps hundred/thousands?) infants waiting for liver transplant.
Disregarding the cost involved, why would Argentina allow a Jamaican infant to jump the line? This makes no sense to me. I find these Gofund appeals to be quite bogus. What if they only raise US$150K and cannot do the transplant (or the infants dies), do “they” give back the money?
The surgery is not being done for free maybe that is why. If you find them bogus dont give let those who want to help , help that is all.
The point I was making and still stand by is that the infant has been described as having 1 different liver conditions with treatment requiring $50,000 US then a different one requiring $250,000 US just a month later. Don’t shoot the messenger, the discrepancies are things people would notice if they were intending to donate hard earned cash. I remember the same story because I sympathised with the family at the time and just noticed the differences now. Your query about which hospital would charge 50k US, Should be directed to the father because that’s how much he said it would cost in the previous article . In India.
The father is going to be the donor so that is two surgeries and Argentina has accepted them
