AMERICAN WOMAN KILLED IN JAMAICA BLED TO DEATH

An autopsy performed on the body of 26-year-old Desiree Hyacinth Gibbon, an American woman who was found dead in St James last month, has revealed that she died of excessive bleeding.

The examination showed injury to her left carotid artery, stemming from the infliction of a chop wound to the neck. The carotid arteries are major blood vessels in the neck that supply blood to the brain, neck, and face. There are two carotid arteries, one on the right and one on the left.
