Hailey Baker, the one-month-old baby who was born with a rare genetic disorder which required $31 million for treatment, has died.
Hailey died at the University Hospital of the West Indies this morning where she had been admitted for the last three weeks.
The one-month-old was diagnosed with an inborn error of metabolism which cannot be treated locally.
Her family was in need of $25 million to get her treated at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami and another $6 million to charter an air ambulance to get her to the hospital.
Rest in power Lil angel
Met, is is it the metabolism disorder which she’s so “chunky” for want of a better word? Still a cute chubby baby. Sad.
She’s now an angel, I pray comfort fr her parents at this time
Oh my little angle. RIP baby. Condolences to the family God knows best.
Still can’t understandd why health care is so expensive. RIP little angel. Strength for the family.
