BE LIBERATED FROM SIN
I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
You have been called to live a life that is holy and acceptable because you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and a citizen of the holy nation that been called out of the darkness to live in the glorious light of God. But the challenge is that you are expected to live this life in a world where sin is celebrated in the streets and the temptation to sin is very strong because the people who live in sin act as if it is the best life to live. They even go ahead to promote and sell their lifestyle like marketers selling products to potential customers.
Even when you say that you do not want to have anything to do with sin, some one very close to you, whom you respect, will be the agent the devil will send to convince you. These are the people I refer to as “fathers in sin”, in my book titled “Blessings of the Father”. Instead of giving you money to eat good food or do something useful in your life, they will drag you to the club and squander the money on alcohol and women of easy virtue. They will not give you money to buy books or CDs of messages that will be of value to you but they will buy pornographic movies and other kinds of corrupt worldly music for you to listen to and watch.
It might be difficult to say no to such people and resist the temptation to sin but Paul says that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. There is a power in you that is greater than the power that lures people to sin. That power is at work in you to empower you to desire and do only the things that are the will of God for you. It is not the will of God for you to live in sin, receive the power to live without sin. This is your day of liberation from sin.
