OBSERVER ONLINE has received information that prominent crime-fighter and former head of the Flying Squad Cornwall ‘Bigga’ Ford is being tipped to take over the reins of the West Kingston Police Division.
The police high command is yet to confirm the reports, but OBSERVER ONLINE sources have disclosed that Ford, who is known to be a hard-nosed crime-fighter is expected to take over the leadership of the police division in a few days.
Senior Superintendent Michael Smith was earlier this month assigned to temporarily lead the division following the transfer of Senior Superintendent Steve McGregor to the St James Police Division in early April. McGregor’s transfer triggered several protests in the area.
