Challenges Are Your Golden Opportunities
Daily Prayer Times: 5:30am, 12noon, 6:00pm, 9:00pm
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17)
If you don’t challenge your obstacles today, they will confront your children and children’s children tomorrow. Whatever affliction you don’t deal with today, will definitely confront you tomorrow and possibly defy your generations after you.
To be a conqueror, you must challenge your obstacles for they are the stepping stones to becoming a champion. They move you to miraculous heights in life. Simeon and Levi did not deal with their fiery anger and it affected their generations, even up till Moses. To be a conqueror, there must be something special about you. David understood all these secrets and he recorded notable victories over his enemies.
There is something you have that the world cannot buy. It is the extra mile that you continue to put between you and the best of others that make you a champion. Opportunities don’t just come! So grab it anytime it shows up. David heard of his rewards if he should overcome the enemy called Goliath; that his family shall be exempted from tax, and the king’s daughter shall be given to him in marriage. So, David grabbed the opportunity.
There is something you have that the devil is scared of because “Greater is He who is in you that he that is in the world”. Beloved, you are the only one who doesn’t know that there is a great future ahead of you. Learn to look beyond challenges. As a child of God, always see the opportunity in every calamity. It doesn’t really matter what the doctor has concluded on your health condition; it doesn’t matter the negative reports that have come to you over the years but the good news is what the Lord says about you.
A few days in which you demonstrate the glory of God in your life is far better than a lifetime that showcases the handiworks of the agents of darkness. If only you can say to yourself that you shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord. To be a conqueror, you must be able to say positive things about yourself; job, finances, marriage or anything that concerns you. Only then will you see the manifestation of God’s power in action.
Always have the confidence that whatever you say stands. Instead of lamenting over that pain, see it as a stepping stone towards the next level. Encourage yourself in the Lord even if nobody encourages you. Like David, bless the Lord at all times and let His praise continually be in your mouth, no matter the nature of what you are going through. Know that God has a plan for you. Glory to God forever more!
