Choose To Do What God Says
“Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation… and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”(Genesis 12:1-3)
Man has always been faced with the need to make a choice; Abraham had to make a choice between the Land of his ancestors and the Land his creator God was calling him out to. Naturally, making that kind of choice feels like making a sacrifice because you abandon what you already have for a simple promise; but what God says to you personally or through His anointed servants concerning your life or a particular situation or circumstance is not just a simple promise; God is His word and His words do not fall to the ground nor fail to accomplish that for which they were spoken for.
What are you doing about all that God by His servant has told you concerning your life? What are you doing about the things God has been saying to you concerning your life? If you have been stubborn or disobedient you need to make a fresh commitment to obey God. Sometimes, God will ask you to do something as challenging as what He asked Abraham to do; you must be courageous enough to obey. God will not ask you to give up something you have if He doesn’t have something better in store for you.
Liberation thought: Obedience is far better than sacrifice. Further
