DANVILLE WALKER’S ATTORNEY IN COURT

The arrest warrant issued for Danville Walker on Wednesday was discharged when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court yesterday morning.

Walker’s attorney, Keith Bishop, apologised to the judge for the misunderstanding that led to his client being absent from court Wednesday and the matter was bound over to a new date.

On Wednesday evening Bishop had explained in a statement that he had omitted to advise Walker of the court date as he (Bishop) was dealing with several other matters. Bishop also said that he had already reached an agreement with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for Walker’s case to be heard on February 20, 2017.

The case against Walker stems from an allegation that while he was the commissioner of customs he breached the Contractor General Act by not providing, in a timely manner, requested information during a probe by the contractor general into the export of scrap metal during a ban.

  1. what unno expect? His government in power. Whoever issued the arrest warrant will be relocated to a station with no running water.
