The St. Elizabeth Police have launched an investigation into the conduct of a District Constable who is alleged to have been involved in the smuggling of contraband to prisoners.
The district constable assigned to the St. Elizabeth Police Division has resigned in the wake of the incident.
He has been identified as Joyan Scott.
It is reported that on Monday, Mr. Scott was observed by officers acting suspiciously. He was subsequently searched and a bag containing ganja, razors and other contraband items was found in his possession.
