DEAN OF DISCIPLINE STABBED BY PARENT AT CORNWALL COLLEGE

Classes at Cornwall College in St. James were dismissed early on Tuesday after the Dean of Discipline was reportedly attacked by a parent at the school.

Michael Ellis, Principal of Cornwall College, told RJR News that the parent visited the school last week to complain about his son being bullied by other students.

He said the situation turned ugly Tuesday morning when the father of the student returned to the institution.

According to Mr. Ellis, while he and the parent were walking to his office, the parent saw a student he believed was one of those who bullied his son and accosted the student.

The Dean of Discipline intervened to prevent him from harming the student but the parent then turned his anger to the Dean of Discipline who “suffered some bruises.”

Principal Ellis said the Ministry of Education and the St. James police are probing the incident.

  1. Im not saying this is right, cuz its not. However this is the 2nd parent im hearing of taking matters in their own hands because their child is being bullied. Parent prob got frustrated cuz he knew nothing was gonna come of it. Jus like when dem hol down the likkle bwoy and rape him and nothing came out of it. Any parent would feel a way about their child getting picked on at school. Schools need to stop push bullying aside. And address it!!

  2. I’m so sorry this happened to the dean, and I wish things would have turned out differently for everyone. However, you have some bad breed pickney weh love walk and trouble people pickney. And sometimes the kids are so afraid especially when they are many of them that are bullying one person. Something needs to be done about this. Because it’ll happen again.

  3. Parent shoulda ketch the bully out a road because schools nuh have no anti bullying policy and often leave parents even more angry
