The 16 year-old son of imprisoned gang leader, Joel Andem, has been charged with illegal possession of a high powered weapon.
He was charged last weekend after being questioned in the presence of his attorney, Peter Champagnie.
The teenager was arrested last week Monday after the police reportedly seized an AK47 rifle loaded with 27 rounds in his possession during a special operation in Landlease, Papine, St. Andrew.
The juvenile is booked to appear before the Gun Court on Thursday.
He was sentenced to three years’ probation before the Gun Court in 2016 after he pleaded guilty to possession of an illegal gun which was found in his knapsack while he was at school.
