A 13 year-old boy is in the custody of the police after he reportedly stabbed his mother to death in Bethel Town, Westmoreland Wednesday evening.
The deceased is 44 year-old farmer Petrenia McDonald.
The circumstances which led to the incident are still unclear.
According to reports, Ms McDonald and her son were at home sometime after 7 o’clock when he went to the kitchen for a knife.
The teenager then went into his mother’s bedroom and stabbed her several times while she was watching television.
Ms McDonald was pronounced dead at hospital.
Her son, who remained at the scene, was taken into custody and the knife seized.
What a wicked act killed by her own Son.
