Police probing suspected drug network in Portmore
The Narcotics police are probing a suspected drug network in Portmore.
This follows the seizure of 18 pounds of ganja at Norman Manley International Airport on Thursday.
Two men were arrested and charged.
They are 21 year old Cavon Duncan of Gregory Park, St. Catherine and 22 year old Ricardo Blake, a resident of Portmore.
It is reported that shortly after 2 p.m., Mr. Duncan checked in at Norman Manley International to board a Copa flight to Panama.
During security checks, ganja was reportedly found in his suitcase.
After questioning Mr. Duncan, the cops carried out a raid at a house in Portmore and arrested Mr. Blake, who they described as the mastermind behind the shipment.
Both men are booked to appear in court on Wednesday.
