The Clarendon police say they have found and handed over 56 goats to the family of a Clarendon farmer who has been reported missing since November 21.
Today marks 21 days since the owner of the goats, 35-year-old Deon ‘Rambo’ Reid of White Marl district in Moores in the parish, went missing.
Reports from the May Pen police are that at about 1 p.m., Reid left home with approximately 100 goats to feed in the bushes.
THE CENTRAL STAR understands that following the discovery and checks, 44 of the goats remain unaccounted for.
THE CENTRAL STAR gathered that at the time of his disappearance, Reid was wearing a red and white T-shirt, black tights, blue shorts and a pair of white water boots.
All efforts to contact him have proven futile.
Senior Superintendent Vendolyn Cameron-Powell told THE CENTRAL STAR that the goats were found in a house in the community.
“We found 56 goats in a house and they were handed over by the police to his (Reid’s) family members,” she said.
Reid is of dark complexion, slim build and is about 173 centimetres (five feet, eight inches) tall.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Deon Reid is being asked to contact the May Pen police at 876-986-2208, police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
