KINGSTON, Jamaica—A 53-year-old Kingston businessman on Wednesday shot and injured his 23-year-old son during a dispute.
Reports are that around 6:00 pm a dispute developed between the man and his son over money. It is said that the argument escalated into a fight during which it is alleged that the businessman, a licensed firearm holder, in a bid to defend himself, pulled his firearm and shot his son.
The 23-year-old was taken to hospital where he was treated. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.
KINGSTON, Jamaica—A man, said to be of unsound mind, was on Wednesday stabbed to death by his brother in Allman Town, Kingston.
Dead is 38-year-old Frank McDuffus of Robert Street in the community.
Reports are that around 9:00 am, McDuffus, a patient of the Bellevue Hospital in Kingston, allegedly attacked his brother 30-year-old Christopher Tenant. Tenant in defending himself, used a knife to stab McDuffus.
McDuffus was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
