Shootout between police, gunmen on Hagley Park Road
Traffic came to a standstill along Hagley Park Road in St. Andrew on Tuesday afternoon following a shootout between gunmen and the police.
Two of the gunmen are in custody, while a hunt is on for the third suspect.
About 12:30, a woman went to a car dealership to purchase a vehicle when she was attacked by three men armed with guns and knives.
The woman was stabbed by the men who reportedly stole almost $1 million from her.
A police team, which was passing, challenged the men, shooting one of them.
He and a second suspect were arrested.
The third suspect reportedly escaped with the cash.
The woman was been taken to hospital. Her condition is not known.

Very common in Jamaica. I guy I knew was so desperate for the money a Hotel owed him and after a month or two, he finally got paid over JA$6 million. Went to the bank and cashed the cheque and as he walked out the bank in Mobay, they stick him up and relieve him of all $6M.
Alos common for Jamaicans to come to US with US$30-50K to buy building materials. See it all the time.
There wasn’t a shootout and it was actually two robbers not three. they tried to getaway on a bike but it did not start so they both ran and were chased.
