RAPE accused, Josiah Kyle Nicholas was a no-show in the Arima Magistrates court on Wednesday as his files had yet been sent to that jurisdiction following his court appearances in Port of Spain on Monday and Tuesday.
Magistrate Gillian David-Scotland why sat in the Arima First court where Nicholas would have made his appearance said he will appear before her on Friday instead.
Nicholas, 22 a mechanic from Strathclyde Avenue, Cascade was detained on April 30 after he allegedly kidnapped a 12-year-old schoolboy on April 28 along Gordon Street, Port of Spain, took him to an unknown location and then buggered him.
Following his arrest the police carried out further enquiry resulting in a total of 18 charges being levelled against him for other crimes allegedly committed by him.
On Monday, he was first appeared before a Port of Spain Magistrate who denied him bail for the assault on the 12-year-old.
In addition to the buggery and kidnapping charges stemming from that incident, Nicholas was also charged with possession of a firearm, common assault, robbery with aggravation, false imprisonment, sexual touching and driving without a permit and insurance.
For driving without a permit or insurance he was granted bail in the sum of $40,000.
Attacks on two men, woman
Nicholas was also charged by Arima police with three similar offences that occurred in the Northern Division.
It was alleged that those offences took place on April 8 and the victims were two men, ages 18 and 27, and a 37-year-old woman.
