Husband of murdered woman cop surrenders
The constabulary’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) has confirmed that Barrington Whyte, the husband of slain woman district constable Melissa Edwards-Whyte, surrendered to the authorities today.
Whyte had been on the run since the discovery of his wife’s dismembered body at their home in Duhaney Park, St Andrew on Saturday night.
According to reports, Edwards-Whyte was killed during a domestic dispute with her husband.
He was later listed as a person of interest.
Whyte turned himself in early this morning with his attorney, the police said.
