A man who allegedly held up two banks just 10 minutes apart in April was arrested Tuesday by Seminole Police and the FBI.
Derek Bailey, 57, from Jamaica, was arrested for his alleged involvement in the robbery of a Wells Fargo bank branch and the attempted robbery of a Citibank bank on April 29. Both locations are in Pembroke Pines.
Investigators had nicknamed him the “Lucky Bandit.”
The arrest happened around 6:30 p.m. in Hollywood, Florida.
Bailey is in federal custody and is facing federal charges.
Bailey’s first appearance in court is expected to be in Fort Lauderdale Federal Court Wednesday.
