A 29-year-old Jamaican woman was remanded to a Bahamian prison on Friday, after denying allegations that she smuggled three women into the country for prostitution last month .
Avagaye Jemison, also called Tiny and Spice, was charged with three counts of human trafficking.
It is alleged that she smuggled her first victim into the country sometime between January 14 and January 24, this year.
Her second victim between January 17 and 24, and the third, between January 19 and 24, this year.
Due to Jemison’s not guilty plea, the matter has been set for trial on March 31.
Bail was subsequently denied for the Jamaican, who is married to a Bahamian national.
Further investigations are being conducted, according to the Bahamian police.
