Joel Andem’s son arrested for gun possession
The 16 year-old son of imprisoned gang leader Joel Andem was arrested Monday night following the seizure of a high powered rifle in Landlease, Papine, St. Andrew.
The AK47 rifle, loaded with 27 rounds of ammunition, was seized during a special police operation.
The teenager was reportedly held in possession of the firearm and is now being questioned.
He was sentenced to three years probation before the Gun Court in 2016 after he pleaded guilty to possession of an illegal gun.
On that occasion the weapon was found in his knapsack at his school.
Probably he’s trying to spend time with his father.Thats crazy!!
It’s obvious this child has been woefully misled, kudos to the police officers for not killing him despite knowing his background. He needs serious rehabilitation and I’m surprised he wasn’t held in state care on his first offence, I don’t see the difference between him and a child soldier from a war torn country, both have been misled, both deserve our sympathy and the opportunity to make a change. I hope he makes good use of this chance.
You should be asking how many people that AK47 kill already, bout deserve our sympathy. You are 100% clueless as to the minds of these young thugs.
The police need to kill that youth before he commit more crimes.
