Sender please familiarize yourself with Jamaica’s labour laws.While I hold no brief for JoJo’s under our laws once you are fired for cause, you are NOT entitled to no more than 2 weeks salary if applicable. Now if you said that worker was being made redundant or resigning then more pay would be involved.
Just cause firing no longer exists under our Labour Laws. Once employed for over 3 months, you have a give a hearing with the staff allowed an independent witness and the right to an appeal. After 5 years employment its 4 weeks notice pay, not just a standard 2 weeks pay.
