LET NOTHING STOP YOU!
“If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.” Matthew 18:8 – 9
Knowing that this world will surely come to an end and God will gather His people to Himself and give them their inheritance in Christ, while those who failed to heed His call will be banished to live in hell with the devil, will you allow anything to stop you from being a part of the kingdom? You have been taught and are still being taught the things that please God. You know the things you do, you know the things that He hates; is there any reason why you keep doing the things that you know He hates? You know the life you live, you know your thoughts, you know your innermost desires, you know your actions, are they pleasing to God?
Do you take out time to ask God to reveal to you the things in your life that do not please Him? And what about those things He has been talking to you about in your heart and through the men of God He sends to minister to you? Your greatest need or desire as a child of God should be to live a life that is pleasing to God. The bible tells us to come boldly to the throne of Grace to obtain mercy and grace to help in our time of need. I want you to review and reshuffle your list of needs before God. Let your need for His grace be the number one thing on your list because like God said to Paul when challenged with the torn in his flesh, God’s grace is sufficient for you. By His grace you can cut off that “hand” or “foot” (activity, friend, thought or habit) that causes you to sin. Nothing is too great to sacrifice for the sake of the kingdom.
Liberation thought: Create in me a clean heart O God and renew a right spirit within me!
