Charges have been laid against a woman who was reportedly held with marijuana on Wednesday while trying to board a flight at Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport.
Jacqueline Bailey, 46, a dressmaker of Linstead, St. Catherine, has been charged with illegal possession of marijuana, dealing in marijuana, and taking steps preparatory to exporting the drug.
It’s reported that, about 12:30pm, Miss Bailey was at the security checkpoint in the process of boarding a Caribbean Airlines flight.
A parcel containing two pounds of compressed marijuana was allegedly found hidden in a body cavity.
She is scheduled to appear before the St. Andrew Parish Court next Tuesday.
