US President Donald Trump has indicated he will ditch plans to find cash for his border wall in this week’s spending bill.
Among the measures Trump was hoping would help to pay for the wall is a two per cent fee on remittances to certain countries including Jamaica.
But the BBC says the president’s close adviser, Kellyanne Conway, has said funding for the wall would be left out of a budget measure that must be passed by Friday.
Building the wall, paid for by Mexico, was a key campaign promise.
Democrats had threatened to block the bill if money was earmarked for the wall, so its omission may now avert a government shutdown.
But the president insisted on Twitter that he still supported the wall and that it would be built.
He reportedly told a private meeting with members of the conservative media last night that he might be open to funding the wall later in the year.

another stupid proposal by dump thats just going to fall flat because for fundamental reasons immigrants from countries like jamaica and such shouldn’t be paying for a wall, jamaica and jamaicans and other immigrant countries in such category like jamaica has nothing to do with illegal immigration from central america to the USA via Mexico, and good luck wrestling away those border lands from private owners after they turned down your offer, and with a judicial system that is very much critical of that circus administration, no one will have to guess the outcome of the legal ramifications of any attempt to use imminent domain, and we aint even gonna talk about the impediment from people in congress from either side of the political divide who represents those districts #ResistanceIsWorking.
if he wants a wall that bad he can always have his supporters, bill o’reiley, breitbart, steve bannon, jeff sessions and the alt right pay for it since they’re the ones that wanted it more than anybody else, he also can have his good buddy putun and russia help him out with the difference if he comes up short :ngakak

In the late 80s, Ronald Reagan told Mikhail Gorbachev, in a speech, given in Germany, to “tear down this wall.” He was referring to the Berlin wall that separated east and west Germany. Now, thirty years later, Donald Trump is erecting a similar kinda wall in the United States that will have the same impact as the then Berlin wall. History is prologue. The council on foreign relations is probably responsible for this idea.
