A man accused of stealing a bicycle was stabbed to death, during a confrontation with another man, in down town Kingston, on Tuesday.
Dead is 26 year old Teddane Jackson, also called Teddy, of Rosemary Lane, Kingston.
Head of the Kingston Central Police Superintendent Michael Scott, says about 3 PM, Jackson was approached by the owner of the bicycle, and another man.
During the altercation, a knife was brought into play and Jackson was stabbed.
Jackson died on the spot, while the bicycle owner and the other man, have been taken into police custody.
Traffic came to a brief halt in the town of May Pen following the killing of a man.
Dead is Junior Lampart otherwise called Jay Jay a road side vender from Bushy Park Clarendon.
Reports are that commuters reported hearing gunfire which sent them scampering for cover in the town centre.
When the shots subsided Lampart’s body was found in a pool of blood.
The May Pen Police are probing.
