A man who was arrested in connection with an $8 million cocaine seizure on the Cave main road in Westmoreland nearly two years ago, was convicted on Tuesday in the Parish Court. Denmark McGhie, 32, a businessman of Welcome in Hanover, is to be sentenced on April 5. He was arrested and charged by the Narcotics Police following an operation on June 29, 2017. The police reported that Mr. McGhie was stopped and searched and seven parcels containing seventeen pounds of cocaine found.
There were two people in that car when it was stopped and search. The other person was identified as a US Truck driver. Whatever happen to other other person? Wasn’t he charged also?
