The two men accused of the murder of 13 year old Shanoya Wray, whose decomposing body was found in a house in Mona, St. Andrew, were remanded when they appeared before the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court Monday morning.
Trinidadian school teacher 27 year-old Sanju Maharaj and 19 year-old Jamaican Leonardo Madden are scheduled to return to court on October 12.
The court was told that some documents in the case, including a post-mortem report, are outstanding.
Mr. Madden’s attorney, Peter Champagnie, asked the court for a psychological report.
Shanoya’s remains were found in a bath tub at a house in Mona, St. Andrew, on July 20.
Investigators accused Mr. Maharaj of killing the teenager and using chemicals to destroy the body.
A thanksgiving service for Shanoya was held Sunday.
How that scum get Peter Champagnie to represent him ? Is this a pro bono case? Who is paying Champagnie?
