Additional manpower & other resources to be sent to St James police division
Police Commissioner Dr Carl Williams has sought to assure relatives of the 4 persons killed in Anchovy, St. James that their killers will be brought to justice.
The 4 were killed in 2 separate double murder incidents yesterday (March 25).
49 year-old vendor, Victor Kerr and 27-year-old Michael Thompson, otherwise called Tino, were shot dead in the Stone Mill community.
While 28 year old Rosemarie Green and her common law husband 41 year old taxi operator Douglas Tingling, were shot dead near their home in Blue Hole district.
Dr. Williams today (March 26) visited with the relatives of the 4 slain persons.
He urged them to stay strong and assured that the police will be acting effectively so that those responsible will be brought to justice shortly.
He also pointed out that the police will be conducting more patrols in the Anchovy area to ensure that crimes such as the 2 double murders, do not reoccur.
Meantime, Police Commissioner Dr. Carl Williams says additional manpower and other resources will be deployed to St. James, to help police there tackle the recent spike in crime.
He says the JCF is still considering the possibility of establishing a police post in the Cornwall Courts community.
The commissioner toured sections of St. James today, to include Cornwall Courts, and Anchovy – where 4 persons were killed in 2 double murder incidents yesterday.
Speaking with reporters in Cornwall Courts, Dr. Williams said today’s tour also involved having discussions with the St. James police, on strategies to combat crime in the parish.
Dr. Williams says the police have examined various strategies, and a decision was made to boost resources in the St. James police division.

Mobay a one place mi naw no interest inna … I don’t think anyone there is stable and nowhere is safe from my experience. A few gated communities yes but mi like fi go party etc.. Mi friends from there claim dem only party which part dem know nuff police usually hang out there lol – that’s all you need to know about Mobay. I love kingston – can party anywhere and usually make it home issue free.
