The St James police are probing the murder of a woman and her daughter in Cambridge on Saturday night.
They have been identified as 44 year old Ann Marie Johnson and 24 year old Shantoy McKenzie.
Residents reported hearing gunfire and called the police.
Miss Johnson and her daughter were found with bullet wounds at their house.
They were pronounced dead at the scene.
