The Police High Command has expressed condolences and sadness at the gruesome murder of a woman corporal attached to the Flying Squad Division, after she was reportedly shot and killed by her common law husband, who is believed to have killed himself afterwards.
They have been identified as 28-year-old Pagiet Davie and 28-year-old Sheldon Doufe both of a Fairfield Close address in Spanish Town, St Catherine.
Reports are that about 1:15 am, the couple was allegedly involved in an argument during which Doufe is suspected of using Davie’s service pistol to kill her before shooting himself. The police were alerted and the couple’s bodies were found inside the house with gunshot wounds.
The police say they have since commenced an investigation into a case of murder/suicide.
The couple leaves behind a 3-year-old son.
Meanwhile, members from the Chaplaincy Services Branch have been deployed to provide grief counseling to the family members and colleagues of the couple.
this is so sad. Now this 3 year old child have to live without mother and father. What’s wrong with these men. If it’s that serious leave her. The child is better off with a single parent than no parents,
