DANCEHALL artiste Potential Kidd was yesterday questioned and released by members of the Denham Town CIB.
The entertainer whose given name is Dwayne Taylor, and 33 other men were named as persons of interest by the Western Kingston police for questioning related to an upsurge of violence in the area.
“He turned himself in to the police and was questioned and released,” head of the Kingston Western Police Division, Senior Superintendent Cornwall ‘Bigga’ Ford, told Splash.
A resident of neighbouring Trench Town, Potential Kidd rose to fame in 2011 with the single Yah So Nice. It was followed by songs like Dash it Awey, Try So Hard and Everything Govern.
