OUR SUPREME SOVEREIGN GUIDE
I will lead blind Israel down a new path, guiding them along an unfamiliar way. I will make the darkness bright before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Yes, I will indeed do these things; I will not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16
People take pride in the fact they know what to do at any given point in time. Some even claim to have figured out the details of what their lives will be from the time they were young until they will die and leave this realm; that is being presumptuous because our lives are in God’s hands and He is the only one who has the first and final say about the details of our lives, from the moment we are born until we die. We may have divine advantage and privileged information about the things that will happen in our lives but God remains sovereign, He alone is our Supreme Sovereign Guide through life’s journey.
There will be times when he will take you through unfamiliar paths and experiences that you do not know or understand; do not despair, God is in control. The darkness will give way to light and the rough places will become smooth. Our duty is not necessarily to know the details of our journey through life but to trust God throughout.
You will agree with me that if you knew details of some of the challenges you faced and won, you probably would have given up before taking them on,but thank God that you went blindly into them and by His grace you were able to overcome them. Let us trust God with every moment of our lives, knowing that He has promised to be with us every step of the way. He will reveal to us that which we should know.
