Chaddane Harris, the man under investigation for the alleged sexual assault of several women in Portmore, St. Catherine, is facing additional charges of burglary. Mr. Harris, 27, was charged on Thursday as the Greater Portmore Police continued their probe into a series of break-ins in the muncipality. He appeared before the St. Catherine Parish Court on Friday where investigators told the judge that Mr. Harris was charged after his fingerprints were found at a house that was broken into. More than $200,000 cash and electronics were stolen. The judge gave the police until July 23, to submit the fingerprint evidence. Mr. Harris first appeared in court on Monday on charges of burglary and wounding with intent. Investigators say on May 8, he broke into the home of a bank employee and stabbed her several times. The woman was hospitalised for four days. Meanwhile, Mr. Harris’ attorney, Vincent Wellesley, on Friday complained to the judge that, to date, his client has not been questioned about sexual attacks in Portmore despite him being arrested on the premise that he was involved in the incidents. He complained that investigators have not submitted any evidence or statements linking his client to sex crimes. Prosecutors on Friday admitted that they have not received material from investigators of any sex crimes allegedly committed by Mr. Harris. The investigators reported that they are awaiting the results of DNA tests to determine whether Mr. Harris is linked to the sexual attacks in Portmore.
Something might be wrong with him so angry I don’t know.
