A 32-year-old prisons officer, Fitz Victor was fatally shot outside his home in Laventille this morning.
Police reports indicate that Victor was washing his vehicle outside his Pritzgar Lands home in Laventille, when two men approached him and fired several shots hitting him in his head.
Simon was rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital in a police vehicle but died while undergoing emergency surgery.
Police investigation are continuing.
