A 50 year-old prisoner is on the run after escaping from Kingston Public Hospital (KPH), where he had been admitted.
He has been identified as Eric Banner, otherwise called Whites.
The police say he escaped about 6 o’clock Tuesday morning.
Banner was arrested and charged on June 8 for the offences of shooting with intent, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.
He was also charged on June 9 with possession of counterfeit notes.
The police say his last known address is West Cumberland in Portmore, St. Catherine.
