RELOCATE TO THE PLACE OF WORSHIP
The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day. Proverbs 4:18
The woman at the well was living a life of failure, marrying and re-marrying. She wasn’t “lucky” with marriage. The men came loving her and wanting her hand in marriage but they soon stop loving her after the marriage ceremony and so the wedding ends in a divorce. It was a painful way to live and she was trying to make the most out of her bad situation by going through all the usual routines that married women go through daily. In life it is hard to wait for something you know might never happen but it is even harder to give up when you know what you are waiting for is everything you need; she wanted to be loved by a husband and she was waiting, hoping to find it but she just couldn’t give up on her desire so she married somebody else’s husband.
Desperation in life can make you jump out of the frying pan into the fire. She was in a mess; her life was sliding downhill and she needed help; but when your life is going downhill, it does not get better because you want it to; it only gets better when you get better. She got better the moment she encountered Jesus at the well and her spirit connected with the lover of her soul. She got better because she had her mind on worship; she wanted to know the best way she could worship God. That was the key that unlocked the door to her freedom from the yoke of failed marriage. The same can happen to you today if you will just improve on your spiritual state; get better in your walk with God and you will find the keys to unlock every door that has been shot against your progress in life. Relocate to a better place of worship where Jesus is at the center of everything you think, say, do and desire in this life.
