A woman accused of injuring her brother with a machete during a dispute over fruits three years ago, is to be sentenced on July 11.
Marva Beckford of Rosehall, St. Elizabeth was found guilty of unlawful wounding and assault when she appeared before the St. Elizabeth Parish Court on Wednesday.
The court was told that on February 8, 2014, Miss Beckford and her brother had a dispute over the reaping of star-apple during which the man was chopped with a machete.
Miss Beckford’s brother said he received injuries to his hand.
In court, Miss Beckford denied the allegations.
So it did affi reach to chopping.
