Six persons were shot and injured at a party in Oracabessa, St. Mary early Friday morning.
The police say unknown assailants opened fire on a crowd and the six injured persons were taken to various hospitals to receive treatment.
One has since been released.
Superintendent of Police Bobette Morgan, head of the St. Mary division, urged persons to utilize dispute resolution before turning to violence.
“The police is always here and we’re willing, ready and able to assist persons in treating with disputes,” she said.
