Lacovia High School student suspended after fight with teacher
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica – A teenage male student at the Lacovia High School in St Elizabeth has been suspended for 10 days following a fight with a teacher, school board chairman, Fitz Rowe has confirmed.
The incident which occurred on Tuesday morning, triggered unrest at Lacovia High with some teachers staging sit-ins up to Thursday, reports say.
School board chairman Rowe told OBSERVER ONLINE that statements were being collected from all parties as well as witnesses to find out exactly what happened so as to determine further action.
“We (school board) are acting strictly according to regulations”, Rowe told OBSERVER ONLINE.
