TEACHERS WHO BEAT MALE STUDENTS CHARGED

The teachers implicated in the beating of two grade 10 male students at Robert Lightbourne High School in St. Thomas were on Friday arrested and charged.

They were charged with Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm.

The two male teachers were each granted bail in the sum of $40,000.

It was reported that, following last week’s Heritage Week celebrations at the school, a teacher requested that two grade 10 students assist in moving chairs.

One of the boys reportedly moved three chairs and decided to stop.

It is reported that the two students were later pulled from a public passenger bus and beaten by a group of men.

The teachers were reportedly among the group.
