The Right Path To Salvation
But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God. Psalm 50:23
The path of God means the ways of God or the lifestyle of the Kingdom of God. It is commonly said that when in Rome, do as the Romans do. This is common sense indeed that is powerful enough to keep you out of trouble. If you want to peacefully live with people, in their own land or territory, you must be willing to adopt their culture and lifestyle. You cannot impose your own culture and lifestyle on them!
The same could be said of the kingdom of God. It is a fallacy to think that you can come to the kingdom of God and do as you please because God is loving, merciful and kind. God is indeed a benevolent father but He has set things in place that cannot be upturned to suit man’s whims. God loves order and purpose; His eternal kingdom is established on fundamental principles (His Word) that cannot be disregarded.
Jesus came to establish the kingdom of God here on earth through us and if we want to truly be a part of that kingdom and enjoy all the benefits of citizenship, we must be willing to live the lifestyle of the Kingdom as spelt out in the word of God. This will keep you away from bondage because it positions us for God himself to progressively ensure and guarantee our salvation and deliverance from the schemes of the enemy.
Liberation thought: Godliness will lead you forward, and the glory of the Lord will protect you from behind.

Father, grant me the grace to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, in Jesus Name.
