THE SEED IS IN YOU

Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.” Mark 4:30 – 32

Jesus likened the kingdom of God to a mustard seed which grows to become the largest of all garden plants. For that seed to grow and become a huge plant, it has to be buried under the ground and left to germinate. Biologists say that seeds wait until three needs are met to germinate: water, correct temperature (warmth), and a good location (soil). During its early stages of growth, the seedling relies upon the food supplies stored in the seed until it is large enough for its own leaves to begin making food through photosynthesis.

The Kingdom of God was planted in you on the day that you received Christ as your personal Lord and Savior but have you provided the required conducive environment for the kingdom to germinate and grow mightily in you and through you? Have you been watering the seed with the Word of God? Water is the first requirement for the seed to germinate. What about the temperature? Is the fire of the Holy Ghost ablaze in you, providing warmth for the seed? Without the fire of the Holy Ghost burning in you, the Kingdom will not grow. And what about you; what kind of life are you living? The bible says your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who dwells in those who are born again? Do you show reverence and respect for the temple of the Holy Spirit?

The kingdom of God is complete and perfect. Everything the kingdom needs to grow is in Christ who now lives in you. Do not look elsewhere for sustenance. The world is full of motivational speakers who claim to have all the ideas and strategies of how to live and grow successfully. In as much as the things these motivational speakers say are exciting they lack the power to make you live and grow successfully. The Word and the Holy ghost is all you need to live a successful and glorious life in Christ.
