Three persons including a woman accused of assaulting a policeman along Eastwood Park Road in St. Andrew on Wednesday have been charged.
They have been charged with Abusive Language, Disorderly Conduct and Obstructing the Police, among other offences.
They are 27 year old taxi operator George Malcolm, otherwise called “Junior”, of Spanish Town, St. Catherine; 30 year old taxi operator Domain Richardson also known as “Chin” and 35 year old Shani Fairclough, both of Kingswood Avenue in St. Andrew.
They will appear in the St. Andrew Parish Court next Thursday.
It is reported that about 5:15 Wednesday afternoon the police were seizing a car after the driver was cited for breaches of the Road Traffic Act.
It is alleged that Mr. Richardson hit, collared and pushed the officer several times.
He is also accused of issuing threats to the policeman.
The police report that Ms Fairclough and Mr. Malcolm became boisterous and aggressive while preventing the police from performing their duties.
