I have travelled the world with my job and apart from Thailand, have never come across such dangerous incompetent drivers as those in Jamaica. Driving too close, overtaking on bends, speeding. I have witnessed it all. The high rate of road traffic accidents is down to bad driving not bad luck. The government needs to have traffic police at dangerous junctions and levy heavy fines for those that flout the law. Maybe that serve as a deterrent for the irresponsible drivers.
