The police are reporting that two persons were shot and killed by unknown assailants at the intersection of Bombay and Linscott avenues in Meadowbrook Estate, St Andrew on Saturday.
Dead are 31-year-old Toni-Ann Murray, cashier of Linscott Avenue, and 21-year-old George Phillips of Ridgeway Road in the area.
Reports from the Duhaney Park police were that about 8:27 p.m., Murray was sitting in a motorcar on the compound of the community centre, while Phillips was sitting on a makeshift stool in front of the community centre, when two men armed with guns approached and opened gunfire, hitting them both before escaping in a waiting motor vehicle.
The injured persons were taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Police investigations continue into the incident.

That was my BF coworker.. She works @ the Observer. From what I hearing, they killed her brother about 3 weeks ago… The funeral was suppose to be yesterday and now “unknown” assailant murder her too.. There is certainly more to this story… So sad!!
Wow if that is the case, there is certainly more to the story, if her brother was killed for weeks early, why the sister was targeted and killed as well, something the police needs to look in further, this is not a killing of people just hanging outside if what has been said have some truth to it, the families are always in danger when some or all has nothing to do with the bad deeds of their family members.
