Why Jesus Died
We are Christ’s ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, “Be reconciled to God!” 2Corinthians 5:20
Life is a precious gift from God and people do all there is within their powers to stay alive and healthy. There are people who spend large portions of their incomes on medical check-ups, treatments and procedures that will help them stay alive and healthy. There are also some people who spend a great fortune building houses that are like fortresses and buying bullet proof cars so that they can be protected from violent attacks by assailants. It could be said that man spends his lifetime working hard in order to stay alive. There have been breakthrough discoveries in science that are aimed at making life indestructible on one hand and rescuing life from destruction on the other hand.
Yet, there lived a man who willingly offered His life up for destruction out of love for others; Jesus willingly laid down His life because He loved us and wanted us free from eternal death. Jesus didn’t die so we could all have a religion or denominations and sects. Jesus died to make our lives invincible to sickness, disease and destruction so that we can live happily in peace and oneness with God. Ultimately, the reason why He wants our lives to be indestructible is because we are created for eternal life and fellowship with God. Jesus died so that we can be reconciled to God and live a lifetime of intimacy with Him. He died so we could have an intimate, personal relationship with Him and the father. What are you doing about this eternal truth? Do you have a personal relationship with God?
Liberation thought: Jesus is the first born son of God and we are second.
